STARS IN STARS

This big old king size thing is done. 98x110 jeez, what was I thinking when I said I'd do this.

This photo is of the backside in front of a large window.
This is MY favorite way to see the work.
One, it looks like stain glass.
Two, you can really see all the pieces.

It's in the hands of a "machine quilter" now.
No way am I getting a neck/back ache trying to manage this monster.
When it's quilted and bound I'll put up another photo of the front and back.

In this case...

Stunning (To stupefy, as with the emotional impact of an experience; astound) is the only adjective that applies!

I'm so jealous and I know that makes me a bad Blogzie.

I'm jealous of your enormous talent and I'm jealous of whomever is getting this beautiful work of art.

My Danish grandmother was a quilter and you always make me think of her, but that's another story. A good one.

I'm going to take medication now and think about trying to be a nicer person.

Oh, I tagged you. Ouch! Just do it and it will make your adoring fans so happy.

you're amazing. I'm exhausted at the mere sight of what you did. I'm growing a Stendhal syndrome in presence of your works of art.

Hugs.

i've made just one quilt in my life, i still have it. i have a "drunkards pathway" cut out and ready to start on. (in my sewing stool for 10 ++++ years!) - i get distracted easily (now there's blogging, crumbs). My first oldest sister does lovely quilts, but she has more time and money than i. oh well.. and probably more skill and patience, truth be told.

my large old spinning wheel is at my mom's place...so now i am just knitting and sewing...will have to have another look at "the pathway" - possibilities? -- you have inspired me...

anyway, just wanted to chat, and say i am hugely impressed by your work of art: "stars in stars".

cheers,
pj
