GRANDMA AND ME

This is my beloved grandma.

I loved her so much.

Her touch sent me to heaven.

We went to her house for christmas and I remember with pure joy the way her face would light up when she saw me.

This photo was taken on the back stoop of her house where I spent hours and hours and hours talking to her through the screen door while she made lunch or dinner.

She is christmas to me.

Love, Love, And More Love.

I wish all of you Love, Love and More Love Tonight!

Huge lump in my throat when I saw this picture. Memories of that wonderful woman flooded my mind.

The time spent with her and in the kitchen just inside that screen door... sitting on her lap in that brown rocker watching TV...

She was the best... BEST...Grandmother in the whole world. Unconditional love.

The things I would have loved to share with her as an adult. I miss her so. You're right RQM, she is Christmas.

But look at you--who couldn't have doted and adored that boy?? It's a beautiful picture, and a wonderful memory; grandmas are a place apart.

I made a quilt for my sister for Christmas, and thought of you--especially as the hour was growing late and I was butchering the corners! Did you have a lovely time? Could you feel the warm thoughts streaming down from Annapolis??
